Translate (GB) Ltd specialises in the translation of all types of texts between all European and most Asian and African languages. Translations range from highly-complex documents (law, engineering, science, etc.) through to smaller texts of a more general nature. Most of our work involves translations into or from English. We work with all European and most Asian, South American and African languages.
We translate:-
• From English into all European and most Asian, South American and African languages.
• From all European and most Asian, South American and African languages to English.
• Between many other language-pairs, for instance German to Spanish, Italian to French etc.
Although we cover most world languages, perhaps 80% of our work involves translation into or from English.
The translation process
The successful completion of each translation involves several stages as summarised below:-- Receipt of the text and quote request from the client via email.
- We immediately generate a free, no-obligation quotation - usually within minutes - that is emailed to the client for their perusal. The quotation incudes a fixed overall price and delivery time for the translation.
- The client simply replies to the quotation email requesting that we proceed with the translation.
- The text is then passed to one of our experienced translation managers, all of whom are based at our Bristol offices.
- The translation manager analyses the text and places it with suitable specialist translator selected from our database of qualified, fully experienced translators.
- The translation manager monitors the translation as it proceeds, liaising with the translator throughout.
- On completion the translation is emailed to the translation manager.
- The translation manager completes final checks and then emails the final version to the client.
- We raise and send our invoice to the client via email (sometimes the translation and the invoice are sent to the client simultaneously, as two attachments to the same email).
Most business clients are automatically placed on a 30-day account.
We translate texts in most areas of specialisation including Legal, Technical, Scientific, Medical, Financial, Marketing as well as general translations. In addition we can provide the translation of websites and webtexts ready to upload.
Translation Managers
Each translation is fully managed by a dedicated translation manager most of whom are based at our offices in Bristol. On receipt of a text the translation manager selects the best translator from our database of professional translators, monitors the translation as it proceeds, receives the translation from the translator, completes final checks on the text and sends the final translation to the client via email.
TRANSLATORS
We have an extensive database of highly qualified and experienced professional freelance translators. The translators are located across the world and only provide translations into their mother tongue. We have translators that are immediately available to provide translations in many specialist fields including the law, technology, science, medicine, finance, marketing etc. All of the translators that we work with have produced consistently high-quality translations for us over many years.
Client Retention

Multi-language Translations
We also specialise in multi-language translations involving a single or multiple source text/s translated into many languages (often five, ten, twenty or more target languages). We have specialist legal translators working in many language pairs. We can provide high-quality translations of contracts, court documents, witness statements, legal certificates and other texts. Formal certification is available when required.

Technical Translations
We provide high-quality technical translations to diverse clients in many sectors including the automotive, aerospace, transportation and maritime industries. Central to our success has been the provision of high-quality, cost-effective and rapidly produced translations of technical manuals and booklets. We use the most up-to-date software (translation memory managers) to enable our translations to be easily updated and revised.
Scientific Translations
We can provide high-quality translations in many scientific disciplines and fields, including texts from both pure and applied science. Specialist project management is available to ensure that the very best translations are produced in each case. Particular care is taken to ensure that any Health and Safety issues inherent in the source text/s are fully met in the translations. We have an external IT team that often works with our professional translators to translate and then convert existing or new websites into the required language or languages in the appropriate format ready to upload. We use state-of-the-art software and all projects are fully managed throughout to ensure that the end product meets the client’s exact requirements and expectations.
